About Lindy Wynne
Lindy Wynne met God as a nine-year-old on the rocks beside a levee, and has spent her life since pointing others toward the same Living Water. She is the founder of Mamas in Spirit Catholic Ministry for Women and has hosted the Mamas in Spirit podcast for seven years. The name came home with her from a college immersion trip to an orphanage in Mexico, where the little girls were lovingly called mama — a word that held, all at once, God's tenderness toward his daughters, the call to spiritual motherhood, and Our Blessed Mother, whom Christ gave us from the Cross: "Behold, your mother" (John 19:27). Baptized at Mission Santa Clara in 1999, she came into the Catholic Church at twenty-two and holds a Master's in Pastoral Care and Counseling, with seventeen years in professional ministry.
Speaking and Retreats
Lindy speaks and leads retreats nationally. Her engagements have included the Nashville Diocese Eucharistic Revival Conference, the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW), the Diocese of Harrisburg Women’s Conference (keynote), the Diocese of Knoxville Regnum Christi Lenten Evening of Reflection, the Zomi-American Catholic Youth Conference, the Sisters of Mercy Retreat, and the Women’s Cornerstone Retreat. She has also spoken at Boston College, Loyola Marymount University, Servite High School’s Mothers’ Day of Reflection, Chesterton High School’s Mothers’ Evening of Reflection, and the Juan Diego House of Seminarian Formation, along with retreats at Catholic parishes across the country.

At Home
The heart of Lindy’s life is her marriage to her husband, Brian, of twenty-six years — they were married at Mission Santa Clara, the same church where she was baptized — and caring for their three children, all of whom are adopted (ages 11, 24, and 27). The Wynne family’s home chapel has been featured in the National Catholic Register, along with their reflections on foster care and adoption. Lindy lives in the greater Nashville area and was named the 2025 Tennessee Mother of the Year® by American Mothers, Inc.®
Fr. Jon Meyer
Fr. Jon Meyer is Chaplain of Mamas in Spirit and a priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He first started working with Lindy and her husband, Brian in youth ministry at their parish in 2011—he has since developed a close friendship with their family, who have played an important role in his vocational and discipleship journey.
Father Jon loves being a priest and is passionate about accompanying people in their joys and struggles. As he continues his own growth as a beloved son of God, he hopes to witness to the power of the transforming love Jesus bestows on all who are willing to receive Him.
Fr. Jon is currently the Director of Propaedeutic Program and Assistant Professor of Moral Theology at Saint John Seminary in Camarillo, CA. He is a regular guest on Mamas in Spirit Podcast and holds the Mamas in Spirit community members and their intentions in his daily prayers.
In Memoriam
Carolyn henry druffel
Carolyn is the patroness and heavenly advocate of the Mamas in Spirit community. She said yes to being part of the Mamas in Spirit team before her illness progressed and she went home to be with our loving God. Carolyn's witness reflects the very hopes we hold for this community: to know we are beloved daughters of God, to have rich lives of prayer, and to live out our callings.
When Carolyn knew she had only days left on earth, she and Lindy made a quick plan to record together. It was the first podcast Lindy ever recorded on her knees — at Carolyn's bedside, the two of them in their headsets, holding the hands of her beloved friend and mentor.
Carolyn was a prayer warrior who spent her days making rosaries, chaplets, and other Catholic jewelry. She changed many lives, drawing others into a deeper relationship with God through daily prayer and the sacraments. Her own sacramental life transformed her: she emanated the joy, the pure heart, and the sacrificial love of our Blessed Mother Mary. Carolyn is a witness to the grace God works in us when we give him our lives and hearts completely.
